Although the explorer unit is a part of the district organisation past scouts meet at the H.Q. in Abbots Langley as a unit because the section is strong enough to support the young people that make up the numbers. There are approx. 30 on the books which is more than some districts have in total, and the Abbots wing meet with the Boggits and Langleybury groups for district events, competitions and other functions.
The section has a strong outdoor element and as can be seen on the next pages they are getting out there.
