| 1. Subs of £37 per scout for the Summer Term are now due. Please make your cheques payable to 1st Abbots Langley Scout Troop.1. The prize for the 'Top Ten Scouts of the Year' Competition is a narrowboat weekend on 7th - 9th May 2010. We are trying a new narrowboat this year. Last years competition proved to be very close and only one point separated some of the winners from the rest. | ||
| 2. The 2010 Summer Camp will be to The Spur Campsite, Slindon, near Arundel in West Sussex from Saturday 24th July to Saturday 31st July. A deposit of £60 is required by 25th February at the very latest. The overall cost of the camp will be £180. The 2nd instalment of £60 is payable on 6th May and the final balance of £60 is payable on 24th June. | ||
|
3. The highest award achievable in the Scout Troop is the Gold Chief Scouts Award. The Scouts must complete 8 Challenges to attain this with each Challenge made up of a number of parts. The majority of these are completed as part of the weekly programme and on our summer camp. A few can only be done by follow up work at home. Unfortunately, a number of Scouts are not bothering to do this and that means they cannot attain their Gold Award. We would appreciate it if parents could ensure that this work is completed. |
